Impact Report 2024-2025

We are delighted to share our first ever Impact Report, covering the 2024-2025 academic year.

Throughout the year, we supported schools across the globe to boost biodiversity, drive down energy use, reduce consumption and waste, drive sustainable transport, and tackle food waste.

The results speak for themselves.

79,724 kg CO2e

emissions avoided, the equivalent of flying from London to Perth 117 times.

158,576 kWh

electricity saved, enough to power 58 British households for a year.

Over 12,000

students reached across 11 schools spanning 6 countries.

Dr Peter McLaughlin

CEO, CHIREC

This project was a triumph of ambition, careful planning, realism, collective effort and individual sacrifice over the climatological odds.  Our school team was excellent, but we could not have done this ourselves and without the inspiration, clear direction, skillful guidance and sense of purpose Sustainability at School gave us.
